FAQ
Answers to common questions about how the labs run, who they're for, how long they take, and what to expect.
Beyond Certain works with young people, schools, community organisations and workplace teams. The right lab depends on what you're trying to achieve and who will be in the room.
Labs can be designed for different age groups and contexts. Tell us who you're working with and we'll help you work out what fits.
Labs are intentionally kept small enough for people to participate rather than simply observe. The ideal number depends on the experience.
Labs are generally designed as 2–3 hour facilitated experiences rather than full-day training programs.
Yes. Labs can be delivered for community organisations, workplaces and other groups.
Some experiences are available through public sessions. If you'd like to experience one yourself, ask us what's coming up.
Not in the traditional sense. There may be learning involved, but the starting point isn't a curriculum or a set of information people need to absorb. The experience comes first.
No. The value isn't in completing a course or collecting a certificate. It's in what participants notice and what they choose to do with it afterwards.
That depends on what you need. Some people start with a single experience. Others use a series of labs to revisit and build on what emerges.
A traditional workshop often starts with what people need to know. A Beyond Certain lab starts with an experience. The difference is what becomes visible when people have to make decisions rather than simply talk about them.
